Welcome to the New & Improved Free Retro Graphics October 5th, 2010
I decided to make Free Retro Graphics into a blog. With this format, I can tag and categorize all the images and clipart, and you–dear reader–can choose an image through either of those methods or by entering a term in the search box.
You’ll still be getting the same fifties stock images (all those happy housewives), fabulous ads from 1950s magazines & free retro clip art as before. Check out the backgrounds and Photoshop brushes, too.
It will take me a while to get everything up and organized, so bear with me. Once I relocate the pictures I’ve already uploaded, I’ll be adding additional ads, clip art, fiction excerpts, etc., from a new stash of 1950s and (early) 1960s magazines. I’ll also be adding recipes and clip art from fifties cookbooks. The date range I’m focusing on is 1953 – 1963 (approximately).
Also, you can comment–tell me what you think, or if there’s a particular image you’re looking for that you can’t find, you can request it. Click on each image to get the larger one.
If you like what you find here, please consider making a small donation ($5) to help me keep this site going. (It’s rather labor-intensive acquiring, scanning and editing all these images, not to mention paying for the website.) In return, I will send you a CD of uncompressed images, suitable for printing.
